The cottage is very quaint. You instantly feel sent back to the fifties. We loved it! It is very spacious with a huge bathroom. The kids loved the Mulberry tree in the garden and the view over the water from their bedroom. The fresh limes and roses in the kitchen and dining area were a nice touch!"

I recently travelled around the South West with my aunt who was visiting from England. Staying at Bella Rosa cottage in Albany was a real highlight. Excellent location in walking distance from the town centre. We loved having our breakfast on the rear deck with beautiful views over Princess Royal Harbour. The cottage was not only well equipped but a real home away from home with the gorgeous furnishings and fittings."

Awesome cozy place for a group of 7! Everything was very well maintained and all of us liked it very very much. Location is in heart of town and very easily accessible anywhere."

"Hi there Dorothy,

We all had a really brilliant time in Albany - the weather was lovely, crisp, and fine. It rained all the way down but fined up as soon as we arrived.

We all adored your little 'Bella Rosa'. It was so comfortable, warm and cosy. Lovely linen on the beds and well set up with crockery, etc.

We ate all our breakfasts at the Vancouver Cafe (in Vancouver St) - and after that we hardly had to eat for the remainder of the day!

We did dine at the new Earl of Spencer Tavern (fabulous Cajun Salmon, and/or Mussels) one evening.

We visited the markets - both Saturday and Sunday - we all went hoping to find lots of crafty things, but as you probably know it's mostly foody stuff. After the market on Sunday we walked around the coast to Middleton Beach - disappointed to find the Esplanade Hotel disappeared - but had a well deserved beer at the Surf Club when we arrived there (much longer walk than I remembered, but then I was a lot younger!).

Many thanks again Dorothy for the loan of your beautiful "Bella Rosa". We will all certainly recommend it to anyone else wanting accommodation in Albany.

Cheers - Gwyn, Jana, Lyn, Meg and Pat"

"We visited Albany over the Easter break this year and from my initial contact with Dorothy from Bella Rosa Cottage, the whole experience was made very easy.  We were given comprehensive instructions on how to find and enter the house, and how to use all the facilities in the cottage.  Dorothy went the extra mile and sent information on local restaurants, shops and activities for the children, which meant that we could really make the most of our time there.  The cottage itself was very charming.  In total we had a party of four adults and two young girls (aged 3 and 5) and we thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay.  The location was fantastic, especially with little ones, as it was only a hop, skip and a jump to town, and from the deck you can see the harbour and the sea.  The main bedroom that I personally slept in was extremely cosy and comfortable.  I was genuinely sad to leave."

Gorgeous cottage, well decorated with timely wares, crisp linen and all modern appliances.Large elevated deck to rear of property where you can sit with a cold glass of wine while cooking some local prawns on the BBQ.Fantastic location, only a stone throws away from main cafe strip. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, only downside was it wasnt long enough. Will definately be returning soon."

"Hello Dorothy,

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed staying in Albany. We visited a number of attractions and found them most interesting. I found the Fort probably the best.

Unfortunately we found later on we had left our ice cream and berries in the freezer.

Thanks again for your accommodation at the cottage and help you gave us and all the best.

Cheers,
David"

"Hello Dorothy / Jon

Just a quick hello to say thank you for everything...we had a lovely time and the cottage was more than perfect.

But seriously it was fantastic and the location wonderful.

We dined out at Calamari's and the Earl of Spencer Inn for two of the days...travelled down the Kalgan River with Capt. Jack who was charming beyond his years and met Percy the pelican along with many of the birds of prey that line its banks!..we ate at The Squid Shack and tasted the 'Canarvan' Oysters from Albany.  We also managed to visit Bluff Knoll which was spectacular!!

I know that we will be back in the future and have already spread the word to family and friends!

Thanks again

George and family"
